"Kami tahu ini adalah kemenangan yang baik dan sangat penting bagi kami," kata Dalglish seperti dilansir dari Tribal Football.
Liverpool mengawali pertandingan dengan baik saat menjamu MU, Minggu, 6 Maret 2011. Tiga gol Liverpool dicetak oleh Luis Suarez dan Dirk Kuyt. Sedangkan gol semata wayang MU dicetak oleh Javier Hernandez di masa injury time.
"Mereka bermain luar biasa terutama Dirk (Kyut). Sedangkan Luiz (Suarez) juga bermain luar biasa, keduanya bermain baik," ujar Dalglish.
Dalglish menambahkan, anak asuhnya telah memberikan kontribusi yang maksimal saat menghadapi MU. "Keinginan mereka untuk memenangkan pertandingan sangat kuat. Mereka pantas mendapatkan hasil ini," ungkap Dalglish.
Bagi MU hasil ini adalah kekalahan ketiga mereka di lima partai terakhir. Dari 29 pertandingan MU masih memimpin klasemen sementara dengan 60 poin. Hanya terpaut tiga poin dari Arsenal di posisi kedua yang masih punya satu pertandingan lebih di tangan.
Sedangkan bagi Liverpool, ini adalah kemenangan pertama dalam dua laga terakhir. Liverpool pada pekan sebelumnya kalah 3-1 dari West Ham United. Liverpool saat ini mengoleksi 42 poin dari 29 laga dan menempati posisi 6 klasemen sementara.

Group stageThe ten winners in the play-off round ties – five from the best-placed path and five from the champions path – join 22 automatic entrants in the 32-team group stage. The clubs are split into eight groups of four teams, who play home and away against each of their pool opponents between September and December to decide which two teams from each section advance to the first knockout round. The third-place finishers in each group enter the UEFA Europa League round of 32.
Knockout phaseFrom the last 16 until the semi-finals, clubs play two matches against each other on a home-and-away basis with the same rules as the qualifying and play-off rounds applied. In the last 16, group winners play runners-up other than teams from their own pool or nation, while from the quarter-finals on the draw is free.
FinalThe final is decided by a single match, which this season will be played at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 28 May.
